Personal Number:


IT cannot block a number that is calling you, but you can block it from calling you via the DialPad app.  


If you need to block a number from calling you in DialPad, follow these steps.


  1. If you do this,  make sure that it is truly a number you want to block.  There are 3 levels of "blocking"  The most extreme will make the number appear out of service.




  2. If you don't have the app installed you can open the web version of the app at dialpad.com/app.  







Choose if you want to forward straight to voicemail or block completely.

Department Number:


  • The person wanting to block a number from a Debarment must be a member of that Department
  • The steps above are the same with the exception that you need to click the department you want to block the phone number from
  • If you do not have the "Block Contact" button you need to contact the Supervisor of that Department as they may have access to block this for you
  • If the Supervisor does not have the "Block Contact" button IT can temporarily add themselves to the Department and block the number.



Contact Centre Number:


  • The person wanting to block a number from a Contact Centre must be a member of that Department
  • The steps above are the same with the exception that you need to click the Contact Centre  you want to block the phone number from
  • If you do not have the "Block Contact" button you need to contact the Supervisor of that Contact Centre  as they may have access to block this for you
  • If the Supervisor does not have the "Block Contact" button IT can temporarily add themselves to the Contact Centre  and block the number.
