Symtpoms: Lane 7000 pinpads reboot at random times during the day
Cause: These pinpads are hardcoded by Epicor to update & reboot at 11:59:59 every evening. Yet, the devices times are set incorrectly. They don't poll an NTP server for time either. Times are not set at the EPA server level either.
Solution steps:
To update the time on a Lane 7000
1. From an idle screen press 2634 on the pin pad
2. Press the F button on the pin pad
3. Press the 'Tetra Admin' on the touch screen
4. Select '3 – Set Date and Time'
5. Select '2 – Set Time'
6. Add the time. NOTE: enter 4 digits so 9 o'clock is 09:00
7. Press the green button to save
